My children's development is my top priority as a parent. There is so much wasted space on the TV and internet full of junk, I see the need for challenging experiences as opposed to simple entertainment. We need something to feed children's endless curiosity and boundless energy. My Fisher Price Smart Cycle does just that.
If the weather outside is frightful, don't worry the Smart Cycle is so delightful. My kids can still get their energy out without tearing the house apart. They can also feel good about achieving goals as they complete tasks and play the mini games on the Fisher Price Smart Cycle software. I can get a kid-free minute while my children are occupied racing or helping each other with the number or letter side games.
The Fisher Price Smart Cycle toys unfortunately do not provide the 4 "D" size batteries required to operate, so we opted to buy the T-2299 Universal Smart Fast Charger with 8 Tenergy D batteries. They can play with 4 of them for hours while the other 4 charge on charger.
They say give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll eat for the rest of his life. That's kind of how I feel every time my child switches out the gaming cartridge all by himself. When he's done playing one game, he pulls the game out and pops the new game into his Fisher Price Smart Cycle and away he goes again!
Now you don't have to leave home to enjoy the arcade; it come right into your living room with the Fisher Price Smart Cycle. It uses the plug-and-play type hook ups to connect to your TV or VCR and so is ready to go when the kids are ready to play! They really enjoy the ability to choose different models, colors, and vehicles. They can also change their environment as they switch games. (Which are sold separately).
To assist with the games and activities in each different software cartridge, they come with a "helper" who guides the player around obstacles and helps with the side games. I love our Fisher Price Smart Cycle!
Unlike other children's toys that are only meant for a small window of abilities, the Fisher Price Smart Cycle can adapt to your child's endless learning. The software has so many levels it is great for all my kids. When they have completely played out one game there is always another to challenge them! It also helps that the seat has three height adjustments so they can all enjoy it!
When my toddler is tired of pedaling, the fun doesn't have to stop! There is a joystick right next to the handle bars that is used to play the side games! The Fisher Price Smart Cycle has many titles for software, but some that we have chosen are: Sponge Bob Square pants, Dora the Explorer, and Hot Wheels (great for racing!). These are sold individually, but are well worth it!
I recommend the Fisher Price Smart Cycle to any child who has the capacity to participate in such activities.
